Fredrik Härén is an entrepreneur, author, publisher and one of the leading creative minds of this century. Härén is the founder of Sweden's leading creativity company - The Interesting Organization (www.interesting.org), a company which believes in doing business from ideas. He is based in Singapore.

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan is Vice Chairman & CEO of Zensar Technologies, a Global firm that transforms Technology and Processes for Fortune 500 companies. He is also President of the IT Sector and a member of the Management Board of the 3.25 billion USD RPG Group.

An alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Harvard Business School, Ganesh is the National Chair for Confederation of Indian Industries - IT and ITES Committee and a fellow of the Computer Society of India. He also chairs the Higher Education forum of the Confederation of Indian Industries in Western India. He is a member of the Board of Governors of NITIE Mumbai and member of the Executive Council and Chairmens Council of NASSCOM. Harold Kerzner

Harold Kerzner, (M.S., Ph.D.,M.B.A) is the Senior Executive Director with International Institute for Learning, Inc.

Dr. Kerzner's expertise is in the areas of project management and strategic planning. He has previously taught engineering at the University of Illinois and business administration at the Utah State University. He obtained his industrial experience at Thiokol Corporation where he was responsible for both program management and project engineering on a variety of NASA, Air Force, Army, Navy and independent IR&D programs. In addition, Dr. Kerzner has provided training and consulting services for companies such as Dow Chemical, Federal Reserve Bank, Progressive Insurance, The Department of Defense,Disney and many others.

Dr. Kerzner has conducted three live satellite video broadcasts on project management: "How to Achieve Maturity in Project Management", "Achieving Behavior Excellence in Project Management", and "In Search of Excellence in Project Management". All three programs were sponsored by Microsoft Corporation and were televised worldwide.

He has published and presented more than 250 engineering and business papers and has authored a number of best-selling textbooks including: Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling and Controlling, which is now in its ninth edition, In Search of Excellence in Project Management, Applied Project Management: and Strategic Planning for Project Management Using a Project Management Maturity Model.


Jagdish Khattar

Jagdish Khattar started his career as an IAS officer and has been an energetic change agent and a turnaround wizard. He has moved from being the district magistrate in difficult towns to making policies in steel ministries; from marketing Indian tea in Europe to turning around corporations like State Transport and Cement Companies which had been loss-making for decades.

When he took the reins of Maruti Udyog eight years ago, the company was feeling the heat of competition from global car majors. As Managing Director, he steered Maruti from a challenged monopoly to an overwhelming market leader in a crowded marketplace; from a loss of about USD 60 million in 2000-01 to a profit of USD 260 million 2007-08. He led the company through a major labour strike and a very successful public issue. His major initiative's included a foray into downstream businesses of car finance, car insurance and sale and purchase of certified pre owned cars. His revamp of the Maruti service network made the company break the world record of being the leader in customer satisfaction while being a market leader. This feat was repeated for seven years in a row under his watch.

After a successful 14 year association with Maruti Suzuki, Mr. Khattar founded Carnation Auto with the vision to make Carnation India's largest auto retail brand in the country.


Dr K Radhakrishnan

Dr K Radhakrishnan is New Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvanathapuram. Dr K Radhakrishnan has taken over as Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He took over charge on November 30, 2007 from Dr B N Suresh, who is now the Director of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.

Dr Radhakrishnan is an Engineering Graduate from Kerala University (1970), MBA from Indian Institute of Management (1976), Bangalore and Doctorate from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2000).

Dr Radhakrishnan started his career in ISRO as an avionics engineer at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in 1971. Later, he was the Director of Budget and Economic Analysis at ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore as well as Director of Regional Remote Sensing Service Centres. Subsequently, he was the Mission Director of Integrated Mission for Sustainable Development and Deputy Director of National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA), Hyderabad of the Department of Space. From 2000-2005, he was the Director of Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Hyderabad under the Department of Ocean Development (presently Ministry of Earth Sciences) and Project Director of Early Warning System for Tsunami and Storm Surges. In November 2005, Dr Radhakrishnan became Director of NRSA.

Dr Radhakrishnan was the Vice Chairman of Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and the founder Chairman of Indian Ocean Global Ocean Observing System (IOGOOS). He is a member of the Indian delegation to the UN Committee on Peaceful Use of Outer Space since June 2006.


Shri N. Krishnan, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India

Graduated from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, securing First Class Honours, in 1976. Over 33 years of experience in varied domains like brick & mortar industry, Research & Development institution and IT/ITES industry, covering a spectrum of functions like maintenance, maintenance planning, project planning, execution, systems engineering, systems and solutions architecting, marketing, corporate training, research & development, field implementation, overall management of (IT/ITES) operation. Presently, working as Director General, Software Technology Parks of India.

Under Mr. Krishanan's leadership STPI is chartered to deliver following:
• To Promote development and export of software & the services through technology assessments, market analysis, marketing segmentation, marketing support & related areas.
• To train professionals and to encourage design and development in the field of Software Technology and Software Engineering.
• A catalyst and facilitator for the high growth of software exports from the country. To act as front-end to the Software Industry for the Govt. Policies and approvals.
• To establish and provide Data Communication facilities, Computer facilities and Infrastructure facilities like Office Space and General amenities.

Peter Monkhouse, Director, PMI

Mr. Peter Monkhouse, from Toronto, Canada, has been a member of PMI since 1996. Mr. Monkhouse is past president of the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter; with over 4,000 members, it is one of PMI's largest chapters. In 2005, while serving as President, the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter was recognized as "PMI Chapter of the Year". In addition, Mr. Monkhouse has served on a number of Member Advisory Groups (MAGs), including the Community Development MAG, Community Services MAG and the Leadership Institute Advisory Group. In addition, Mr. Monkhouse was one of 17 members on the Community Transformation Project Action Team.

Mr. Monkhouse is currently the Program Director, Engineering, Architecture, and Science at The Chang School of Continuing Education, Ryerson University. In this role, Mr. Monkhouse is responsible for over 12 continuing education certificates and a number of other continuing education courses, as well as for setting the strategic direction for the portfolio of certificates. Mr. Monkhouse has over 28 years of project and leadership experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Monkhouse has actively led projects and project managers in the areas of consulting, engineering, information technology, and organizational change for multinational organizations. In a recent role, Mr. Monkhouse has successfully coached, mentored, and worked with project managers across six continents.

Prior to taking the role of Program Director, Mr. Monkhouse was the Academic Coordinator for the Project Management Certificate in The Chang School. Under Mr. Monkhouse's leadership, the Project Management Certificate Program at Ryerson University was recognized by PMI in 2007 with the Professional Development Provider of the Year Award - Academic Category.

In the fall of 2007, Mr. Monkhouse assumed the position of Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee for the ISO PC236. In this role, Mr. Monkhouse is actively working with the Canadian members and other country representatives to develop the new ISO 21500 Project Management Standard. Mr. Monkhouse received his BSc (Engineering) from Queen's University and his MBA from the University of Toronto. He obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP)® in 1999, and in May 2008 he graduated from PMI's Leadership Institute Masters Class.


Sh. R. Sri Kumar I.P.S.

Sh. R. Sri Kumar I.P.S. retired on 31 January 2009 as Director General & Inspector General of Police, Karnataka. He is a B.Tech from IIT Madras (1970) in Electrical Engineering (Power) and a Master of Business Laws degree from the National Law School of India University Bangalore (2003).

Post retirement, he is associated with the Confederation of Indian Industries as Head of the Southern Region Task force on Internal Security and as Chairman of the Karnataka Chapter of the Cyber Society of India.

Sri Kumar has distinguished himself as a police officer in whatever posts he held and has played very significant roles in bringing about professional management, technology absorption, transparency, and accountability. He has played a significant role in the investigation of several leading cases of the country such as the first human bomb assassination of a former PM, the biggest stock market scam in 1992, corruption in high places etc. In addition to 26 death penalties in Rajiv assassination case, the team headed by him recently secured 11 death and 12 life sentences for members of a Pak based group indulging in a series of bomb blasts in churches in AP, Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra in 2000. In the case of fake stamp case, Telgi operating all over India, through cell phones even while in prison, the exchequer was saved several thousand crores as revenues by his investigative abilities.

By virtue of being the past CMD, he continues as a Director on the Board of the State owned public sector Undertaking called the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation Limited. Sri Kumar is remembered for his seven year stint as its Chairman and Managing Director (2001-08) during which time a no loss no profit making PSU recommended for closure by a legislative committee on the grounds of redundancy, could be transformed to pay 100% dividend to the State for two years in a row and execute over Rs 600 crores of publicly funded works in time and within budget. He made Professional Project Management a household word while carrying out these works with an in house developed application called web based Project Management System. Now many Govt organisations such as Punjab Police Housing Corporation, Brihat Bangalore Mahanagarpalika are making use of the WBPMS developed by KSPHC for managing their projects well.

During this period, the first energy efficient Green public building in the country, certified GOLD by the US Green Building Council, was built in Gulbarga under his leadership at a cost of less than Rs 1000 per sq.ft in 2005 to house the office of the IGP Gulbarga and his team.

The Government of India decorated Sri Kumar with Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (1989) and President Police Medal for Distinguished Services (1995).

Sri Kumar is married to Ranjini - an IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, presently working as Principal Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms in Karnataka.

Sri Kumars are blessed with a daughter and son who are practicing as advocates in Bangalore.


Raed S. Haddad

Over the past 14 years, Raed S. Haddad has had extensive first-hand project management experience on numerous domestic and international programs. Currently, he is the Vice President of Corporate Programs at ESI International where he is responsible for the implementation of all project management training curricula for ESI's clients.

Before joining ESI International in his current position, Mr. Haddad instructed various project management seminars to practicing professionals and executive audiences around the world. As a professorial lecturer at George Washington University, he currently teaches graduate level courses in project and program management, cost/schedule and quality control, and decision making techniques. In addition, Mr. Haddad has delivered project management consulting services such as needs analysis, course customization, and meetings facilitation for telecommunications, engineering, pharmaceutical, and investment organizations throughout the world, emphasizing change management, scheduling, cost control, and risk analysis.

Previously, as a senior project manager for a construction management organization, Mr. Haddad was responsible for planning, funding, scheduling, and tracking various commercial development projects. He was the senior project manager for the build-out of over 20 other projects ranging from 2,000 to 500,000 square feet. Furthermore, he has also consulted for a multitude of public and private sector clients in project management applications, methodology development, and design/automation of decision support systems.

Mr. Haddad received his B.S. in civil and environmental engineering and his M.S. in civil engineering (structural) from the University of Rhode Island. He also holds a Master of Engineering Administration in Project Management (MIS) from The George Washington University, where he has been a doctoral candidate since 1992 in Engineering Management/MIS. Mr. Haddad is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®), the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Society for Engineering Management.


Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM

Som Mittal is President of NASSCOM, the premier trade body and the "Chamber of Commerce" for the IT - BPO industry in India. In this role, he is responsible for representing the Indian IT - BPO software and services industry to multiple stakeholders. His key responsibility areas include enhancing India's leadership position in the global offshore IT-BPO and work towards further growing the market by enabling industry to tap into emerging opportunity areas and to strengthen the domestic market in India.

Over the years, NASSCOM has earned the reputation of being a strategic advisor to the various stakeholders of the industry. NASSCOM's varied strengths include creating and influencing government and public policy, international trade development, research and market intelligence services, and access to an international network through 17 MoU's and linkages with 40 industry associations.

Initiatives on education, strengthening cybersecurity, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship are also focus areas. NASSCOM also endeavours to narrow the digital divide in India through NASSCOM Foundation (NF).

Mittal assumed office of the President, NASSCOM in January 2008. He has a rich and wide ranging work experience of over 30 years in corporate India, he has been a part of the Indian IT industry for the past 18 years. Before joining NASSCOM, he was heading the Services business for Hewlett Packard in Asia Pacific and Japan.

In addition to chairing NASSCOM in 2003-04, and being part of the NASSCOM Executive Council for several years, Mittal has been closely associated with other industry bodies like MAIT and CII. He has played an active role in the formulation and implementation of Karnataka's IT policy. He has been on the CII National Council for several years and part of the Chief Ministers IT Task Force in Karnataka. He is also the Founding member of the IIIT, Bangalore and the Board if IT Education Standards.

Mittal holds a BTech from IIT, Kanpur and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. Additionally, he has attended executive programmes at Harvard and IMD.


Steven L. Fahrenkrog

Steven L. Fahrenkrog is the PMI Vice President for Regional Development and is responsible for expanding PMI's business in China and India.

During his years at PMI, Fahrenkrog served as the Manager of Standards and in 2004 became the Director of the Knowledge Delivery Group. He is in charge of the Standards Department, the Publishing Department, the Knowledge and Wisdom Center and the Online Bookstore.

Prior to joining PMI in July 2000, Fahrenkrog had a distinguished 30-year career in the United States Navy as a helicopter pilot and project/program manager.

While serving in the Navy, Fahrenkrog was the Commanding Officer of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Three and was the Program Manager of the US Marine Corps Light/Attack Helicopter Program.

Fahrenkrog has two Master of Science degrees, in Aeronautical Engineering and in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.


Upendra Giri

Upendra Giri (PMP®) is the Founder and CEO of AstroWix Corporation, a company exclusively committed to the Project and Program Management discipline. A true leader and evangelist of the profession, Mr. Giri is Founder and Trustee of the PMI North India Chapter and Charter Member of TIE, The Indus Entrepreneurs. Upendra completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, Pennsylvania. In October 1999, Upendra was awarded PMP® certification from the Project Management Institute.

Upendra Giri, has been awarded with the prestigious Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award from Project Management Institute (PMI®), USA, for his outstanding contribution to the project management profession through his leadership and initiative while advancing project management concepts, practices and theories. He has been instrumental in laying down the foundation for project management practices in India. He is the first Indian and the youngest professional who has been bestowed with this award till date. He has served as a mentor for government bodies and public sector organizations, helping them select the right projects and create frameworks for project management implementation. As a recognized speaker, he has been promoting Project Management Best Practices across Asia Pacific Region and is responsible for many of the pioneering efforts towards promoting Project Management in India. Upendra has trained over 30000 professionals on best practices in project management around the globe and his name is associated with some of the landmark events in the history of Project Management in the country.
