The 2022 South Asia Chapter Presidents Meet, hosted by PMI Pune-Deccan India Chapter, was held on 6 May in Pune. It returned safely to an in-person event for the first time after two long years. The one-day event brought together chapter presidents, PMI staff, and members from PMI Region 11, and saw enthusiastic networking.The event began with a welcome address by Prasanna Sampathkumar, region mentor, PMI South Asia. Dr. Srini Srinivasan, managing director of PMI South Asia, provided an overview of the region’s key objectives and priorities in 2022. He spoke about the importance of chapter and community collaboration, this year’s strategic aspirations and themes, and the path forward to achieve it.The event provided a platform to discuss a new approach on how to build a more conducive, inclusive, and collaborative strategic plan by picking two initiatives. A combined team of PMI staff and chapter leaders was formed, which will be running the initiatives for the next two quarters and report the progress to Mr. Sampathkumar and Dr. Srinivasan.In the addresses by chapter presidents, they highlighted the unique activities the chapters conducted during 2021-2022, the best practices, and plans for the coming year.
