The advent of AI and data science is transforming the way we manage our projects in ways we would have hardly imagined a few years back. These developments will have tremendous impact on how the projects are conceived, conceptualized and executed now. There is a vast scope to understand their influence on the performance of projects throughout their life cycle. It is an appropriate time for the project management community to reflect on the advances of these fields in terms of their application and integration into project management.

As part of the PMI-RAC 2021, we have a workshop day to explore different facets of the project management in the country. One of the workshops is an introduction to AI/ML in the field of project management. In this workshop, PMI-RAC 2021 is bringing in international experts to introduce the audience to the world of AI and understand how AI/ML can be applied to different fields in project management. The audience can expect a rich introduction to AI/ML from experts who are deeply involved in developing such algorithms in real world. The workshop will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will introduce the different algorithms of AI/ML that would be useful for project management professionals. The second session would delve further on the applications of such applications in real life scenarios of project management.

Intended Audience: Students and Professionals of Project Management, Interested academics, faculty and researchers can take part as well Expected exposure for participants: A basic understanding of project management principles. The workshop does not assume any strong background in AI/ML for the participants. Some degree of prior exposure might prove beneficial.
