Organizations across industries and geographies are struggling to cope with changes as a result of digital disruption. The project environment is getting more complex and dynamic, with teams and suppliers spread across geographies working on various components of a project. Project success in these circumstances depends on developing new capabilities around processes, frameworks, talent, and organization culture.
A steering group of PMI India’s Project Management Excellence Enablers’ Forum (EEF), which is a group of invited professionals from leading organizations in India, conducted a series of surveys among practitioners to identify key challenges that project managers today face. It led to three research themes – Managing Projects in a Multi-Vendor Environment, Cultivating Business and Functional Knowledge in Project Managers, and Executing Projects in a Complex and Dynamic Environment with Changing Business Needs.
The white paper series captures the key research findings, insights, and recommendations in the form of a framework for enhanced project performance.
